Really nice voices. Buying by the hour is pretty reasonable. Searching for voices is a little hard, you can browse lists but I don't see a way to sort by pitch or accent. The app is a little unstable on my phone--if I pause and go to another app, it closes and doesn't stay open to unpause on the notification screen like most music apps. It also drains the battery so much. AI is power intensive so I expected it somewhat, but an hour of listening takes my phone down at least 25% battery.

Indispensable! ElevenReader is one of the most important tools in my writing toolbox. With it, I can upload a manuscript and hear it read back to me, as written. That's a big deal, because it is unforgiving, so it doesn't skip over the little errors my brain does, like "the the". Sure, even Word can do that now, but ElevenReader is in a league of its own. I wish its offline capability was better, but you can't have everything. ElevenReader, though, is close.

ElevenLabs aren't kidding when they say they're the best in the biz! Ever since I downloaded ElevenReader, I've been listening to stories on it for hours and hours every single day. Occasionally the voices will stumble a bit so to speak on certain dialogue and some unique words and neologisms -- but at least in terms of the latter, the 'add pronunciation' feature is genius! It may take a re-read to set it, but after that, bye-bye immersion breaks! Just holy heck, these devs are just amazing.
