I've only been playing this game for a handful of hours, but it's already my new favorite game that I've played in a long time on mobile. Absolutely. It captures that 80s and 90s arcade vibe, and the pixel fighter aesthetic, the music is fantastic. It runs really smooth on my phone, which is saying something. I have no notes. This game is fantastic.

I like the game and the artstyle, but this game is NOT F2P friendly. I've put a bit of money in and I'm getting hard stopped from progressing in any meaningful way. Can't upgrade any characters, they're at their current max. Can't progress story or sewer stages, my maxed characters get drop kicked. It's a grimy way of creating a game - no ads, so they make the game impossible after a while without spending money, and that's how they stay afloat. I'm struggling WITH money put into the game.

One of the most obscenely pay to win games I have ever seen. If you can't complete levels or "compete" in PvP, then you are left with an incredibly poor idle game. And not one that in anyway respects your time. "Oh, so I just log in 8-12 hours apart and grab rewards!" Not in Tap Force. Here, you are beholden to timers that require you to log in *constantly*. Top that off with TF being a generic autobattler, and the only thing it has in its favor is cute, nostalgic references.
