This new version has been 3 years in preparation and improves the top play strength by 10 grades from 8 kyu to 3 dan. This is based on the new Aya program, which was the winner of the KGS World Computer Go Championship November 2014 and EGC Computer Go Tournament 2015. It is consequently a substantially bigger program, but offers much more.

Decent game if you want mobile Go, sure. Nice appearance easy on the eyes...BUT ADS So. Many. Ads. The terrible kind that forces you to update or download something else just to continue playing. The kind that forces you to play a different game with the objective to get you hooked on it. the kind you can only avoid (somewhat) by closing the app entirely and restarting it. It COMPLETELY takes me out of the mindset. At least it has the decency to wait until the end of a game most times.

We apologise for ads. Our ad rate is lower than most free apps + keeps our apps free but ad networks control behaviour. Skip ads within 15 seconds with >>/X/Close. If >> disappears, tap where it was. If ads go to Google Play, tap or swipe device "back". Report bad ads to [email protected]. "AI Factory Go Pro" has no ads for a one-off low fee.

So far, this has been a great app for beginner practice. After all, the best way to learn is to play. That being said, I wish there was a way to play with others, even on the same wi-fi network, without having to pass the device back and forth. Also, the drag to place is a bit awkward and always seems to be miscalibrated on space up. Update: I discovered the setting for play offset literally minutes after placing this review. Thanks for the developer's response!

Thank you for your thoughts. Online play has been added for consideration on our to-do list. However we're a very small team so can't give a timeline for assessing any requests. Piece is offset to help you see the piece easier when placing. To turn it off please go to Menu, Options and uncheck "Offset Selection Point".

A good game but very limited. A lot of potential in the app but the developer has a clear goal. I've played a few different games now from this developer and they all seem to be very similar the ads in the game are not bad at all. Only local multiplayer. Nothing online. The pace of the opponent seems to be slow and the stone don't always appear where they're supposed to when you place them. The app also Boggs down my phone and laggs for several seconds at a time. This can be very frustrating.

Online play is on our list to assess but we are a very small, very busy team so cannot say when we might have a chance to do this. Sorry if moves are slow - devices may think for longer at higher levels. Piece is offset to help you see the piece easier when placing.
