The game is a fresh retro-style take on the OG. It feels like something straight from the 80s or 90s. My issue with the game comes down to playability. The monster models in Monkey Business will freeze mid animation, while in motion. But, so far, the game is a fun experience. Just some minor bugs to fix here and there, and it should be fine.

It's challenging, and I love that you can swap into characters you beat in the game. My only problem is that teleporting is buggy at the moment. I've clipped out of boundaries multiple times from tight turns. I was able to enter the elevator with the monkey, teleport out of the "boss fight" against Agatha, and the void. The game is in its early stages, so I think it will be fixed eventually. Other than teleporting situations, it's actually fun!

I rate SDD a 5 stars. Why? Because i've been a DD fan since 2020 from today. The game's core mechanics are decent, the soundtracks are pure adrenaline. Especially the Dread Ducky chase which is It's Time to Leave in Stranger Sewers. Though i sometimes rage when I'm going for an S Rank. Especially in Deadly Decadence. Where the Gold Watchers gets me in unexpected ways. Anyways. Glowstick Entertainment, if you're seeing this. Please release Chapter 2, can't wait to play it.
