I LOVE THIS APP! I wish everyone had it, and would be amazed by the fact that nearly every ant, fly, flower, blade of grass has a name and story! It would be fun if it was more game-ified I wish there was a little more social aspect, I'd love to be more able to follow my friends and see what they've been recording/observing, and help ID! I couldn't find a way on the app to follow friends, but found them online, but then there doesn't seem to be any benefit once you're back on the app.

Updated review - unfortunately as a daily user of the app for the past 3 years, it has become increasingly glitchy. You can still upload observations, but anything beyond that (exploring, identifying) results in frequent crashes after only a few records (often less than 10!) despite phone restarts, clearing the cache, etc. It is basically useless for identifying observations, so you are limited to identifying to when you are at a computer. Major opportunity loss for the platform.

I really love iNaturalist but the app is just a little subpar compared to the website. It occasionally freezes or gets slow but not often enough to make it a major issue. I just wish it had more features like the website. If I had to pick one feature that needs to be added it would be the extra search filters you can get on the website. I want to be able to search for observations that are only ID'd at phylum level.
