About this app

** What it is **

A Morse code trainer for your phone. Two modes, 52 lessons, and absolutely zero interest in your email address.

Receive mode: hear beeps, identify the letter. Like being a WW2 radio operator, except you're on the bus and nobody is counting on you.

Send mode: tap dots and dashes on your screen. The app checks your timing. It will be wrong at first. That's not a bug, that's learning.

** What's included **

52 lessons covering every letter, number, and punctuation mark in International Morse Code. You start with E, T, and A. By lesson 52 you'll know the Morse for the dollar sign. Whether that knowledge ever becomes useful is between you and the universe.

Three speed settings: Slow, Normal, and Fast. We could have called them "Beginner," "Intermediate," and "Expert," but we're not that kind of app.

A heart system keeps you honest - guess wrong too many times and you restart the lesson. No in-app purchase to buy more hearts. Just get better.

Dark theme and light theme. For midnight practice sessions and for people who believe light mode builds character.

** What's NOT included **

No account. No login. No email. We don't know who you are and we'd like to keep it that way.

No subscription. You buy it once. It's yours. Remember when software worked like that? We do.

No ads. You will never watch a 30-second video about insurance between learning S and O.

No social features. Nobody needs to know you're learning Morse code at 2 AM. That's your business.

No internet required. Works fully offline. Learn on a plane, in the subway, or in a bunker. Especially in a bunker.

No gamification bloat. No daily streaks, no gems, no leaderboards, no push notifications guilting you into opening the app. Just lessons.

No AI. No chatbot. No "powered by machine learning." It's a sine wave and an if-statement. Sometimes that's all you need.

** Why this one? **

Because most Morse code apps on the Play Store either want a monthly subscription to teach you the letter E, blast you with interstitial ads after every lesson, or require you to create an account with a password you'll forget before you learn your first dash.

This one doesn't do any of that. It teaches Morse code. That's it. That's the app.

** Try before you buy **

There's a free web version at celest-watches.com/dotdotdash/web/ — same lessons, same game, just needs a physical keyboard. If you survive lesson 3, the app is worth it.
