About this game

From a lone outpost to a sprawling empire

In Medieval Defense & Conquest, you start with nothing but a small wooden fence and a few brave peasants on a distant island. Your goal is simple: survive the enemy waves, then conquer everything else.

How it plays

You’ll spend your time balancing economy, defenses, and expansion. You have to decide: do you spend your gold on a new unit type, a blacksmith upgrade, or stronger walls to survive the next wave? Should you build up your farm or focus on improving tax collection?

Once your home base is secure, you take the fight to the enemy. Raid their outposts, seize their land, and turn their settlements into colonies that earn you gold even while you’re not playing. Whether it's farming, tax collection, or fishing... patience wins as you combine your idle income strategies into a winning formula.

Why you’ll like it

• Zero to Hero: Watch your medieval village grow from a tiny camp into a massive stone fortress.
• Strategic Combat: Don’t just watch; use poison clouds, firestorms, and freezing blasts when the pressure gets too high.
• Idle Growth: Your colonies keep working for you while you’re away, amassing wealth for your next upgrade.
• Colony Management: Unlock new buildings and automate your economy as you expand your dominion across the island.
• Truly Indie: No publishers, no "pay-to-win" corporate math - just a game made with passion.

I've really only started playing this one, but so far it feels the same as the first, just with 3D assets instead of 2D pixel art. The game itself is okay, the first one really had charm, but what stands out to me the most is how predatory the monetization in the second game is. I wanted to support the creator with a purchase, but figured I'd spend on the "newer" game. Only to be disapponted. No permenant ad removal? Really? Glad I saved my money. Good luck whale fishing.

I might send the devs an email for how limited the character limit is. Average game, there's a major problem later in the game. The unit upgrades and conquests becomes way more expensive. The defense wave gold rewards do not compensate, they stay about the same in quantities. This means I have to either play much longer to get anywhere or to just wait for my economy gold rewards. The defense waves also become too hard and I have to just constantly retreat for previous easier waves, annoying.

Thanks for the detailed feedback, Micheal! Late-game costs scale to shift focus towards economy management (mostly conquest) and special attacks. If progress feels slow, try prioritizing permanent upgrades, catapults, bank... That said, we’re constantly reviewing late-game balancing — it shouldn’t feel like grinding. Thanks for pointing it out!

It's an ok game. Can be fun, but it's too grindy. You need to play hours on end to achieve very little progress. And yet still, that progress feels meaningless as the game stays the same. No tactics, no strategy. Just launch endless troops in defense to get 5% of the cost of your next upgrade or play 10+ hours so you can afford an attack army which will release in one dumb wave.
