The app has gotten worse over the last year or so. Recently I tried to remotely access my R7000 router to reboot it, but it looks like it's no longer an option. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but now it keeps saying something went wrong with logging in. Now I can't use the app at all. I reset my password, just in case. Newp...not the issue. Firmware is up to date. If remote access is a necessity, I suggest looking at other manufacturers. Logging in remotely via web browser is gone too...

The jury is still partly out on the Nighthawk app. But my initial review isn't good. I just finished setting up a mesh system, and the app has been buggy and fiddly as hell. Several times it told me the router wasn't compatible with the app. If you take more than 60 seconds on a task, a contact support pop-up appears. God forbid you have any other apps open or attempt to switch between them. At the moment, I hope I don't have to use this app often.

Pros: Clean, relatively friendly interface, sorts devices by name, multiple wifi tools. Cons: Battery Killer (eats ~1% of battery per minute on my brand new Galaxy S26 Ultra), doesn't have all the controls of the desktop interface, doesn't show inactive network devices. The battery usage alone knocks this down from 3 stars to 2. Completely unacceptable.
