About this game

The Last Yandere: Cursed Dark is a short sci-fi horror visual novel that takes place within the mythology of the AppSir Games Universe.

The surreal story of The Last Yandere: Cursed Dark takes place in November 2017. After losing his memories three years prior, a lonely man seeks to rebuild his life and uncover the truth behind his pixelated nightmares. While applying for a job at AppSir, Inc., the game development company plunges into chaos as nightmarish glitches start appearing in their games. Soon after, he meets a mysterious woman named Kara Gentner.

Day by day, things start to feel just a bit different. Daily experiences are becoming a blur and just the smallest things seem to be off. At night, he hears a strange hum around his room before night terrors haunt him in his sleep. His new friend Kara is starting to show her sinister side, too.

The man is terrified, and maybe he’s right to be.

Ok so this remake is much better and accurate then the og one. It has a more engaging and not cringe story and dialog. What is cool and fun is because it has some mini games to play and you can always try to beat your high score. It also has some more songs to it which is neat, it more representative to the story rather than the same (nearly) music. And the twist in the final chapter was more mind blowing and interesting. So yeah I was a great experience.

It would've been a pretty short and cute visual novel, but there's a random platform game in the middle that's way harder than it needs to be as well as takes longer to complete than getting the other endings combined. At one point the jump option stopped working and I had to restart that whole section. Silly, rushed story that doesn't make a ton of sense and okay time waster. Wouldn't play it again because of the platform part but it kept me busy.

Not gonna lie, this game is a bizzare but in a good way. The game itself didn't provide you a choice or gameplay that much, only some mini games. So considered it as a visual novel. The story is pretty interesting, eventhough not as groundbreaking as whatever novel or game you'd been playing, this game sure has some twists and plot out there. There are 4 chapters, it's not many chapters for you, so expect an extremely fast escalated storytelling. Well I think that's all, have fun.
