Not what I was expecting. I thought this was a castle building game. It is, but only a few levels, and it's temporary. You build a castle, some houses, a barracks here, an archery range there, walls, defensive towers, and other stuff. Then, you upgrade them, while completing quests, and defending your little area. You don't actually go anywhere to accomplish the quests. Once you make it through a certain amount of days and nights in the game, you're done. You move to a new area and start over.

This is what Kingshot was trying to be in their ads. Thronefall is an awesome game, exactly as advertised. One of the few actual games on Google Play. Pay once, play forever without incentive to make any other purchase. There's "mutations" in the game you can select that remind me of skulls in Halo, except you get more XP and upgrade progress when you activate them. So far there's lots of room for progress in the game, I don't feel there's a close ceiling of progress. Having lots of fun! š

Worth the price! It has a fairly simple gameplay loop, and the base game is pretty simple, but it can have a lot of replay value if you're interested in seeing how you can manipulate the huge amount of possible combinations for the perks and mutators. No ads or pay-to-win once you buy the game is a great thing. If you saw the scammy Kingshot ads and thought that their fake gameplay trailers looked like they could be a cool game, this is definitely the game to try
