One of the biggest issues I have with this game is the fact that no matter how much I invest into a team, I always get countered by some crazy mechanic that pops up. Super defense so I do 0 damage? Done.Super attack so I get destroyed? Done. I loved this game at the start because I could invest so much time into my team(s) and reach the point of being able to auto-battle. New releases? Invest some time and back to auto. Love this game, but too much puzzle, and it makes me feel my time is wasted.

So far I've found it to be a good game, and a lot of the low reviews here to be misguided. The main story is nicely voice acted in English, which makes getting into the story sections easier than other similar mobile games, and more immersive. In terms of attaining rare characters with starting rewards, it may be more difficult than some games. But along the lines of Epic 7, many of the free and less rare characters are very good. The gatcha pool isn't filled with throwaway units. Also the bond system lets you gain shards for any character you pull, unlike some games, where duplicates are needed. The client for this game is designed to do direct multiplayer, bringing it live PVP, co-op and the potential for more interesting guild war systems. People complain about the mic permissions, but an in-game voice chat option is interesting for co-op. It's sad that these poor reviews, the most reasonable of which, they say are being fixed in the coming days(they patched out the chat scroll already), will put some people off of what should be rated more like a 4-4.5 star game.

Langrisser is a strategy mobile capable game. I say capable because it has a pc client that pairs super well to make the gaming experience similar to the grab and go style of the switch. The game is wonderfully done and gets pleasantly difficult. While still a gacha game it is unique in it's own way. Fair warning, once you get in deeper, it can be a little time consuming. The game is still growing, and zlong games is making a huge effort in improving qol as well as content. Give it a chance!
