so I've used this app for years always been my go to, since the newest update, some apps(Google, chrome, Netflix,even Google play) work with/without the actual vpn being used(ie. don't have to Open the app) other apps (mainly message apps .. Facebook,snap,x, etc) will only work if the VPN is not on and a few have to have it on all the functions work just not on all apps all of the time so it a bit of a pain that I have to keep turning it off and on.

Works awesome but keeps shutting off every few minutes. Only issue. Everything else is fantastic! Before the app worked continuously, with no problems. I got great internet with unlimited data...worked great for a couple years; now, it says connected - but no internet! Or, doesn't even show up in the SSID lists, period. Says no connection. Competitors aren't much help, either. Ugh!

Works GREAT. I paid for the ad free version so I can't comment about ad integration. We used this app to share a expensive internet connection to another cell phone while on a cruise ship. Sometimes the connection stopped working and I had to restart the app. Once we understand this it wasn't an issue. to share with a Windows laptop was not for the light at heart. It was somewhat complicated but worked. definitely recommend this app even with it's quarks.
