Game Description
Hello. We are the Korea Baduk Association, an association representing the Korean Baduk community.
To promote Baduk among children, we have developed 'Legend of Baduk'.
Legend of Baduk is an educational Baduk game designed to help young players learn the game in an easy and enjoyable way.
Departing from the traditional turn-based format, the game introduces a real-time capturing system that makes the learning process more engaging and dynamic.
Through various content such as Adventure Land, the Tower of Trials, and the Training Grounds, children can naturally grasp the fundamentals of Baduk as they grow and progress.
■ Forest Land – Real-Time Capturing!
The animals of the forest have been consumed by darkness.
Follow the tutorial to master the “Capture” technique and quickly surround and purify the monsters in each stage.
But hurry — if filth fills up, you’ll lose your chance to purify them!
■ Water Land – Life & Death and Baduk Rules!
In Water Land, you'll tackle life and death problems and learn key Baduk rules like Ko and forbidden moves.
You’ll also train advanced techniques like ladder, net, and snapback.
Master them all to challenge the boss monster — the fearsome Kraken!
■ Fire Land – Openings, Corner Pattern, Endgame & Scoring!
Fire Land is where you’ll prepare for real matches.
Train your understanding of openings, corner pattern, flow of the moves, endgame tactics, and scoring.
Defeat the final boss Agni, and you’ll be ready to face real opponents!
■ Face Off Against Powerful Monster AI!
As you sharpen your basics, you’ll obtain a mysterious ticket —
an invitation to face the mighty Monster AI in ranked matches!
With 80 levels ranging from 30 kyu to 15 kyu, show off the skills you’ve mastered along your journey.
■ Training Grounds, Tower of Trials, and Customization!
Train your brain with Baduk puzzles for beginners to intermediates in the Training Grounds, test your current skills in the Tower of Trials, and enjoy customizing your avatar and board with a variety of skins!

It looks nice, works great, and has unlockables. However, it loses a star for uneven difficulty. The timed challenges get really hard really fast simply due to tiny time limits, and the AI bots quickly go from throwing random stones to sophisticated moves well beyond a low ddk player. On the other end, the puzzles are extremely simple. It's advertised as a learning program for beginners, but after trying it with a low ddk student, it seems more frustrating than fun.

absolutely love this game. it's great for introducing new people to the game. and it breaks down the core fundamentals of the game and reinforces them through various repetitions drills. overall love this, for a new player living in the middle of nowhere. All I request is more content (which I'm sure will come. an online competitive game mode, and a local 2 player mode, which would be great for traveling with friends. keep up the great work.

UPDATE: App works now, pretty simple and engaging way to learn the game with slow incremental steps. Maybe a little slow for adults - 5th star would be for adaptive leveling / learning. Original: doesn't work, just an error when trying to start game
