CINCINNATI (WKRC) - All the fun kicks off Saturday night as thousands in Cincinnati prepare to ring in the new year. From dance-the-night-away events, to ice skating on Fountain Square, a lot of restaurants and bars are promoting special entertainment for a fun night out. One of those is JACK Casino, and they have quite the celebration planned. JACK is expecting around 10,000 people to attend their New Year's Eve celebration, First Midnight, with 2,000 alone in the ballroom dancing the night away. A VIP dinner will be held prior to the dance, but then the tables and chairs will be cleared away for the dance floor. They will also aerial performers, show girls, martini girls and even a monkey you can take pictures with. Gayane Makaryan with the casino explains this is because 2016 was the Year of the Monkey, and what better way to say goodbye? For people looking for a more relaxed setting, JACK's steakhouse will be open and they will be playing jazz music. Rock Bar will also be open and have a DJ, and you do not need a ticket to attend that event. Tickets are $50 and include two drink tokens, a wristband and more fun activities. JACK's buffet will also be open from midnight until 4 a.m. The festivities start at 9 p.m.
