New York New York, an MGM property Location: South strip, between Park MGM and Excalibur, across the street from MGM Grand Room: Average size. Not too big, not too small. These rooms have been renovated within the past few years, and we like the new style. Lots of bright colors, smaller furniture, just a much better and more NY vibe. Good counter space in the bathroom. We had our room comped but still paid the $45 resort fee, but we did get $50 food/bev credit and $10 slot play. Casino: The casino is small but big at the same time. High ceilings and lots of people make it feel comfortable and bustling. Has plenty of machines, tables, high limit rooms, and sports book. Sports book is small and right in a busy walkway, and often smells strongly like men’s cologne. Food: There is so much food in and around New York New York! Lots of options and variety. Upstairs- NYNY Food Hall Nathan’s Hot Dogs Pretzels Smore’s Haagen Dazs Downstairs- Nine Fine Irishman Tom’s Urban Gallagher’s Steakhouse Il Fornaio Broadway Burger Bar and Grill America 48th & Crepe Gonzalez y Gonzalez Chin Chin Hot Dogs Sirrico’s New York Pizza Greenberg’s Deli Fulton’s Fish Frye Village Bakery Outside- Beerhaus Shake Shack Luke’s Lobster Hello Kitty Cafe Nusr-Et Top Round Activities: Not a ton. Mad Apple Cirque du Soleil show - one of our favorite cirque shows They use to have Terry Fator, but not at the moment Bar at Times Square - our favorite place in Vegas! So much fun Coyote Ugly Various bars Overall Rating: We’re fans of New York New York. Good mid range hotel. It always feels like a party in there. We often win in the casino. Good location for us, but may be too south strip for some. And since we love Bar at Times Square, we find ourselves here pretty much every night we are in Vegas.
