DEARBORN COUNTY, Ind. (WKRC) - An observant Hollywood Casino employee helped investigators track down a bank robbery suspect from Ohio. Mark Lunsford was arrested at the casino for a bank robbery in Carlisle. A table games supervisor at the casino saw a news report at while at home on the People's Bank robbery in Carlisle on March 14. The employee called another at the casino and told her that she believed the man in the surveillance video looked like Lunsford, who was a frequent visitor the casino. She suggested the working employee see if Lunsford was there. He was. It was just hours after the robbery. The employee called the Indiana Gaming Commission who called Carlisle Police for more information. Police had identified Lunsford as a suspect. At that time police said they knew Lunsford was driving a stolen gray pickup truck with license plate HNK 9779. The Indiana Gaming Commission employee found the stolen truck in the casino parking lot. A red ball cap and a black jacket resembling those worn by the bank robber in the surveillance video was visible in the truck. Investigators approached Lunsford and asked if he drove the pickup truck to the casino. When Lunsford said he did, he was arrested. Lunsford is in the Dearborn County Jail charged with theft for the stolen truck. He faces a robbery charge in Carlisle. He's also suspected of robbing a bank in Springboro.
