Being the first of its kind, the property paved the way for integration in the city. Located on the Historic Westside of Las Vegas, the Moulin Rouge quickly became a national sensation and rivaled the success of the properties on the Las Vegas Strip. Even though the Moulin Rouge was wildly successful, it was only open for five and a half months, but even that was enough time to make a lasting impact on Las Vegas history.
