When it comes to visiting Las Vegas, it’s common for many tourists to simply book a room at a mega resort on the famous Las Vegas Strip… even if it costs an arm and a leg. In today's video we’ll be staying for 24 hours at an historic and iconic property located just steps away from the Fremont Street Experience… The Plaza Hotel & Casino! Located in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas and at the beginning of the Fremont Street Experience. This iconic hotel has been a part of Las Vegas downtown history since 1971. With nearly 1000 rooms and suites, an 80,000-square-foot casino with exceptionally player friendly rules and odds, affordable and upscale dining options, a bingo hall, The Brian Christopher Smoke Free Slot Room, and budget friendly nightly rates, The Plaza Hotel and Casino is sure to be a delight for those seeking a more vintage Vegas vibe. Join us as we take you on a virtual vacation, complete with a hotel room tour of our Standard King Room, casino overview, dining options, and more! Kicking off our 24 hours at The Plaza Hotel & Casino, we start our stay with a little snack from the shockingly good, Pop Up Pizza located just steps away from the casino floor. Afterwards, we’ll show off our Standard King Room so you can know what to expect when you stay at The Plaza. Later, we’ll cool off with a dip in The Plaza’s Rooftop Pool. In 2016, the Plaza fully refurbished its rooftop pool, creating an outdoor space with a wet deck, hot tub, private cabanas, bar, and a food truck. Along side the pool complex, The Plaza has 13 pickleball courts, more than any other hotel-casino in Las Vegas After drying off, we’ll check out the newest dining option to come to the Plaza, Just Rice, where we’ll sample one of their signature dishes, The Truffle Crab Fried Rice. Next, we check out The Plaza’s live music and craft cocktail venue, The Sand Dollar Downtown. The iconic local Las Vegas bar offers free nightly entertainment from local bands and national headliners accompanied by original handcrafted cocktails, pizza, and pool tables. After changing for dinner, we head to the famous Carousel Bar to keep the party going! Located under the iconic glittering lights of the Plaza’s porte-cochère, the one-of-a-kind Carousel Bar serves handmade cocktails, shareable drinks, and a premium selection of beer and wine inside a life-sized, animated Vegas-themed carousel setting just steps away from the excitement of the Fremont Street Experience.
