In this video, we’ll go over some of the things that make the Waldorf Astoria special, and why it’s emblematic of those who want to live a luxury lifestyle. Las Vegas is an extremely popular tourist spot with tons to do. While it’s mostly known for its huge casinos and hotels, there are all sorts of other fun things to do, like going up to the Space Needle or going zip-lining across the Las Vegas strip. But all these activities mean you’ll probably want a place to stay, and if it’s in your budget, one of the most luxury hotels on display is the Waldorf Astoria. Located right in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, the Waldorf Astoria will put you right in the center of the action. Most Vegas hotels actually require quite a bit of time to get down to the Strip, as there’s typically a long walk through a casino to get through, a valet to use, parking to be done, and traffic to slog through. But since the Waldorf is right in the center of the strip and is a nongaming property, none of those things are issues — you can be out of your room and on the Strip having the time of your life in 5-10 minutes. The service, of course, is exemplary, with bellmen offering complimentary bottles of water to help beat the common 100-plus-degree heat waves that can hit Vegas, as well as help you hail down a cab if needed. Reception is on the 23rd floor of the 47-floor hotel, offering a great view of the Strip down below. There’s also a champagne vending machine in the lobby, if you’re too impatient for room service or just want to try a new experience. Of course, the most important part of any hotel is the room you stay in. As the Waldorf was renovated from a Mandarin Oriental hotel, many of the rooms remain largely unchanged, taking on an Eastern design, with carpeted floors, floor-to-ceiling windows, a selection of teas available, and more. There’s a small seating area, as well as a fairly spacious walk-in closet, with valet access. The Waldorf Astoria offers fairly standard amenities, with an outdoor pool, jacuzzi, and even a children’s pool. There’s also poolside food and drink. One of the noteworthier amenities is the spa, which, while not the biggest spa on the Strip, has stellar service. One offering to take advantage of if you plan to do a lot of walking around the Strip is the foot massage, which can provide some relief after walking around. The Waldorf Astoria in Vegas is associated with the Hilton Hotel brand, which means that you can use points you may have accrued from other stays at Hilton hotels to help ease some of the cost. Still, though, a stay at the Waldorf isn’t exactly cheap, with two night stays for one person costing, on average, $300-$400 a night. So, is it worth it to stay at the Waldorf Astoria? At the end of the day, it really does depend on a lot of factors. How do you plan to spend your trip? Are you going to be frequently returning to your hotel throughout the day, or will you more or less be out on the town all the time, only returning to the hotel to sleep?
