Tonight we're walking the Las Vegas Strip, starting outside the Venetian and ending in front of the Flamingo casino. It's a nice evening stroll along a busy stretch of the Strip. Come along as we see the casino lights, a flooded sidewalk, and a flow of tourists exploring Las Vegas. We begin near a charming pond at the Venetian's Las Vegas Boulevard entrance. From there, we head south and note the construction taking place for the Hard Rock Casino's guitar shaped hotel (where The Mirage's volcano once stood). Next, we pass a White Castle and stroll along the sidewalk in front of Casino Royale. Lights behind darkened windows on the second floor are a curious sight. The casino floor on the first level has low ceilings, so what's going on up there? Just beyond the casino, we take a turn left to a second story McDonald's that also has loft style seating. The escalator is broken, but stairs will get us there. Returning back down to the sidewalk, we navigate through the crowd of tourists, and we eventually hit a spot where water has flooded the walkway. It rains so rarely in Las Vegas that when it does rain, sometimes issues like flooded sidewalks appear. We take a small detour out onto the road to continue past the Linq. A couple of fake showgirls appear near Carnival Court to try to get us to pose for photos, and we soon pass the seemingly never busy Rematch Bar and the entrance to the Linq Promenade. Toward the end of our walk, we spot some tickets for VIPs stuck to a traffic pole, and finally, the night's walk comes to an end in front of the Flamingo.
