Palms recently received nearly $700 million in renovation work. Its restaurant options range from fast food to upscale steaks. The most popular offering, though, is the A.Y.C.E. Buffet, which deserves to be part of the "best buffets in Vegas" conversation at a lower price point—it's good. The casino at Palms has a modern, trendy vibe, offering table game minimums that are a bit cheaper than peer games on the Strip. Boasting Damien Hirst's chopped-up shark as a centerpiece, the gaming floor pops. Although Palms' location in Las Vegas isn't exactly central, the resort is steps away from Rio and Walgreens. Although the Palms Pool was closed during my visit, it looks like a cool scene and I can't wait to finally scope it out. My Ivory Tower 2-Queen room was modern, comfortable, clean, and downright nice. It has 440 square feet of space, a crisp 48" TV, and inspirational decor.
