You know, I haven't done a new hotel lately, so I've got 2 in the next week! First up is Cromwell. Now I hate to admit, but I didn't stay. We were over at Park MGM and I literally came over here (after a bit of a rough afternoon) took a bunch of videos and left. I didn't even get to the pool ☹️ Sorry y'all Heck I didn't gamble that should tell you something! The Cromwell is, how could one describe it? They say it is designed to make you feel as if you are in an apartment in Paris. I'd say they did a good job! Its very plush and luxurious. The hotel only has 188 rooms, and is the smallest on the strip. The casino is smaller but has everything you could want to play. I know Giada has a restaurant here and does the room service as well. The check in area is really small but was not busy when I got there. I'd imagine with 188 rooms, the line could get pretty long but as you can see (in the check in video) they had people around the attend to it. The hall rugs, shower and who knows what else are......well, written 😝 I don't know how to describe. It appears the hall carpeting has a story on it, although I 'm not sure how you would read it all. The shower was very bizarre as well. There is a very distinct feel here, but I can't think of the words to describe it. The rooms was s smaller than I am used to, but they utilized the space well. For the size there are a lot of places to sit that are not on the bed. I've heard the bathroom mirrors are two way, but that was after I took the video so I do not know. If we go back I'll check it out. The location is great! It's right mid Strip (Las Vegas Boulevard) across from Caesars and Ballys, next to Flamingo. There are a lot of videos in this playlist. Silverton Casino - The 117,000 gallon saltwater aquarium is home to more than 4,000 tropical fish, stingrays, eels and sharks and interactive fish feeding shows. Silverton (formerly Boomtown Las Vegas) is a 300-room hotel and casino in Enterprise, Nevada, near the southern end of the Las Vegas Valley. It features a rustic lodge theme and a 65,556 sq ft (6,090.4 m2) casino. It is owned and operated by Ed Roski Jr., and is located three miles south of the Las Vegas Strip. Roski purchased an 80-acre parcel in 1989, and originally planned to build an industrial warehouse on the site, before deciding on a casino instead. In 1993, he partnered with Boomtown, Inc. to build a hotel and casino on 56 acres of the property. Roski built the project through a company of his, with financing from Boomtown, Inc. The Boomtown hotel-casino opened on May 20, 1994, and was operated by Boomtown, Inc., which leased the facility from Roski. The hotel-casino failed to generate a substantial profit in its early years, due to a poor location. Roski took over operations in July 1997, ending his partnership with Boomtown, Inc. He renamed the property as the Silverton on December 2, 1997. A Bass Pro Shop was added in 2004 as part of a $150 million expansion. Also added was an indoor, 117,000-gallon aquarium, which offers mermaid shows. In 2005, there were plans to eventually add other hotels, retail space, and a timeshare facility on the remainder of the Silverton property. Another expansion, costing $160 million, was finished in 2008. It included additional casino space and a parking garage.
