Expansions and Corporate Ownership * 1969: A 10-story tower was added, bringing the total number of rooms to 325. * 1972: Elsinore Corporation, a subsidiary of the Hyatt Corporation, acquired the Four Queens. * 1977: Jeanne Hood became the president and CEO after her husband, David Hood, passed away. She was one of the few women to hold such a position in a Las Vegas hotel-casino at the time. * 1981: Another 18-story tower was built, increasing the room count to 716. The property also underwent a $26 million renovation. * 1996: The casino debuted the world's largest blackjack table. The Four Queens also became a partner in the development of the Fremont Street Experience. Recent History * 2003: Terry Caudill, who also owns Binion's Gambling Hall, purchased the Four Queens. Caudill's company, TLC Casino Enterprises, has since managed the property. * 2003-2007: The hotel underwent a multi-year, $20 million renovation.
