El ataque al casino de Monterrey demoró dos minutos y 30 segundos. El video fue dado a conocer por el gobernador de Nuevo León, Rodrigo Medina, y el secretario de Gobernación, Francisco Blake Mora. Medina dijo que las autoridades están revisando el video y aunque existen varias hipótesis sobre los autores del ataque, es muy prematuro para tener información más concreta. El gobernador Medina oficializó, al momento, en 52 el número de mueros como consecuencia del incendio en el casino. Además, dijo que ya se giraron órdenes de presentación para los que aparecen como propietarios o representantes legales del casino para deslindar responsabilidades.
