They were up a couple hundred within minutes, and Brettski slapped Bluff on the back, laughing as the screen flashed a small win. "This is easy money, man!" Brettski said, egging on his friend. But with every win came the temptation to push a little further. Bluff leaned over, whispering, "Let’s go big this time." They both upped their bets, watching the numbers roll with bated breath. A few more rounds, and suddenly, they were up thousands. The adrenaline was hitting, and they were laughing like kids on a playground, feeding off the thrill of the rise. Brettski couldn’t believe the numbers he was seeing, and for a moment, it seemed like they were unstoppable. But just as quickly, the machine turned against them. A bad roll here, a misstep there, and suddenly, those thousands were swinging down just as fast as they’d climbed. Brettski and Bluff shared a look, part disbelief, part exhilaration. They rode the wave up and down, never knowing where they’d land. One moment they were high, the next they were clawing back from the edge. By the end, they weren’t sure if they’d won or lost, but they knew one thing: they’d had a hell of a time riding the rollercoaster of easy bubble craps.
