John and Paul played some searing rock licks on their Epiphone Casino guitars on this track! According to some information I've found, Paul played the lower part first on his sunburst Casino and then John overdubbed the higher part later on his sanded Casino. The Epiphone Casino being used for John's part was extensively modified to have all the visual and sonic characteristics of John's famous sanded Casino played at The Beatles' impromptu rooftop concert in 1969. This Epiphone Casino was made in 2001 at the Peerless factory in Korea. The volume/tone pots were changed and the tone capacitors were replaced with Orange Drops. The neck pickup volume knob was replaced with a black one and a black "goof" washer was put underneath the pickup selector, just like Lennon's. Most notably was the replacement of the original tuners with gold, vintage-style Grover "Milk Bottle" Rotomatic tuners, the exact same kind that John had on his guitar. Interestingly, both the Inspired by John Lennon "Revolution" Casino and Limited Edition Lennon Revolution Casino do not have the milk bottle Grover tuners.
