LOCATION Excalibur Hotel and Casino is right on The Strip in Las Vegas so it should only take you about 10-15 minutes in a cab to/from the airport. The highway is also right there so it is easy to get to places and to get home. It's located on the MGM side of the strip where there are about 7 casinos that all connect easily on that end. They even have a tram running from Mandalay Bay to Luxor to Excalibur. This makes it a good spot to stay to get used to all the walking you are about to do for the rest of your trip. SCENE When we walked in to our castle of a hotel, we were greeted by some of the guys from The Thunder From Down Under and I happily accepted some lucky beads. Dick's Last Resort is where most of the action happens here. They also have an arcade on a lower level. FOOD Excalibur had a medley of options in the food court on the upper level so that anyone will be able to find something to eat. They had TWO Starbucks which I loved because I feel like every time I went, there was never much of a line (unless it was the weekend). They have a food court with a lot of options for everyone so we were very excited to have that right upstairs (including a 24 hour spot) when we would get home. They also have Dairy Queen in the arcade which we often hit up for dessert. POOL They have four pools, buttttt one of them was closed every day I went. There is a limited number of seats so get there rather early if you want a chair. This is a very family oriented hotel but they do have an adults only option. Overall, Excalibur is one of the older casinos on The Strip, so if you go into it knowing that you get what you pay for, so to speak, you will have a great time.
