Luxor, an MGM property Location: South strip, between Mandalay Bay and Excalibur, with a free tram between the three hotels, and indoor walkways Room: Surprisingly amazing! We had a pyramid room on the 5th floor, right above the lobby and across from the elevator. It appeared to have been renovated recently, with new furniture and wallpaper. We loved the bright colors and fresh vibe. And we had a really good view. Great water pressure! We had our room comped but still paid the $37 resort fee, but we did get $50 food/bev credit and $10 slot play. Casino: The casino is moderately sized, not too small but not big, just like a square. A bit smoky but not as bad as some other hotels. Low ceilings likely contribute to the small feeling. Has a little sports book and high limit rooms. Food: Not a ton of options, but a handful of restaurants and fast food. Past stays haven’t been awesome so I was really judging it. However this stay was great, so I would definitely recommend it as a decent budget hotel (you can get a great room for super cheap!), and it’s got some fun things to do and good restaurants.
