REQUIREMENTS
TrainerRoad for Android supports the most popular flagship Android devices
OS: Android 7 Nougat and higher
Connection: Bluetooth Smart, ANT+ and ANT+ FE-C

NOTES
TrainerRoad for Android supports Bluetooth Smart, ANT+ and ANT+ FEC. Some devices are ANT+ compatible on their own, but may require ANT plugins installed from the Google Play store before they’re ready to use. Other devices may require an ANT+ adapter. Fortunately, some of these devices work with existing ANT+ adapters from your computer and an additional USB-C or phone-specific USB adapter.

Given the various ways TrainerRoad for Android communicates via ANT+, some devices may have stronger signals than others. If you’re having difficulty using a native ANT+ device, you may need an adapter to train normally.

Cool concept, but buggy. If I try to schedule an ad-hoc endurance ride for "outside" it'll schedule a similar workout, but with a different time length than the one I wanted. I could find the exact one I originally scheduled under the similar panel. Replaced it, and in garmin connect it has a completely different name, but on my garmin computer it's fine.

Hey Waker :) It looks like maybe you picked an AI Workout instead of one from the Browse Workouts. The AI Workouts will change based on what the system thinks is the best workout for you that day, unless you pin it or pick from the non-AI Workouts (Browse Workouts tab). Please contact [email protected], and we'll be happy to explain more.

The workouts available are great, but the recent changes don't allow organized group rides. Our triathlon cub hosted four group rides each week. Coaches were able to view power/FTP % and cadence, which is very helpful from coaching perspective. I'm not sure the addition of the AI and removal of the group rides makes this app worth the cost anymore. TR is one of the most expensive platforms. Please consider placing more importance on the customer experience and not on the recent AI trends.

Hey Scott! This feature was temporarily disabled in the latest update. We’re working on bringing it back as we speak 🙂 Please contact [email protected] if you have any further questions.

I use Trainer Road for both my outdoor and indoor rides. The AI adaptation always provide a great training workout for my level of fitness, adapting them up when I get stronger, and adapting them down if I have slacked on the bike and skipped a bunch of workouts. I have been using it for at least 4 years, and I only see improvements: on the app, the data, the workouts. Very much recommended.
