It's very easy to follow the instructions and the device is comfortable on your finger, once you fall asleep you don't even notice it. You can follow the instructions on your daybreak device and once you hookup your device it'll tell you to download the app and sync it with Bluetooth, hope this helps someone else.

I had to take the test twice, but that was due to user error. I had it on too tight the first night, so I accidentally turned the sensor off. I did not tighten as much the second, and it worked! this was my second sleep study, as the first used a bulky machine and I was unable to sleep. NightOwl uses a small fingertip sensor that you can barely feel, so I was able to sleep this time!

I did not find a place to put in the activation code. It still worked though but I spent time trying to find it. About 4 or 5 am it said my finger device wasn't positioned well. 5 hours later, and being awake I remember the paper instruction said just to redo it. At the time in the app, it said stop recording. I hit it thinking I needed to stop it to redo the finger device. Come to find out, I stopped it and couldn't restart it for the additional 4 hours of sleep. The app should give a warning.
